Maintenance Mania: hands-on training, certification testing and networking opportunities exclusively for California fair and WFA member employees
Maintenance Mania is a three-day certification and training event open to all California district agricultural fairs, county fairs, citrus fruit fairs, the California State Fair, and all Western Fair Association fair and service members. This year's event was held at the Ventura County Fair in February and at the Monterey County Fair in March. As soon as we've had a chance to catch our breath, we'll post a recap and photos from our two well-attended sessions. So you'll know: Participation in Maintenance Mania is free and offers everything from fork lift operation certification to how-to seminars on plumbing, welding and more. To give you an idea about what goes on during Maintenance Mania take a look at 2010's schedule of events. And here are some photos from 2009.
Who Should Attend? Anyone and everyone involved with or interested in fairground maintenance and safety is encouraged to attend. Whether you're a long-time fair employee or a relative newbie, Maintenance Mania has something for you. Maintenance Mania instructors include experts from California Fair Services Authority, California Construction Authority, the Division of Fairs and Expositions, and the fairs themselves.
